Carry and Field
Everything you see in Elonn lives in one of two places: your Carry, or the Field around you.
Carry: what travels with you
Carry is personal. It's the part of your world that goes wherever you go — your messages, your calendar, your ongoing conversations. Think of it as what's in your hands, always available, regardless of where you physically are.
Field: what's around you
Field is shared. It's the view of the space immediately around you — nearby places, points of interest, other things anchored to real-world locations. Everyone standing in the same area sees the same Field. Move somewhere else, and the Field updates to match.
Why the split
Some things only make sense attached to you personally — a conversation doesn't care where you're standing. Other things only make sense attached to a place — a coffee shop's hours don't change no matter who's looking at them, and only matter to you when you're nearby.
Elonn keeps these separate so each behaves the way you'd expect: Carry stays with you when you move, Field stays put when you leave.
